PGS Worldwide is seeking a Quality Inspector in Goleta, CA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Quality Inspector will perform receiving, dimensional, visual, and quality inspections on aerospace components, assemblies, and related hardware. This onsite role requires aerospace inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, precision measuring tool experience, dimensional inspection experience, and Microsoft application skills.

- Ability to inspect mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies.
- Ability to verify conformance to quality requirements, drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Ability to perform close-tolerance dimensional checks.
- Ability to make acceptance or rejection decisions based on inspection results.
- Ability to select appropriate measuring equipment for inspection activity.
- Ability to document inspection findings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and quality compliance.
- Ability to work onsite in Goleta, CA.
Preferred Skills
- Cable harness assembly experience.
- CMM programming experience.
- Optical comparator experience.
- Solder certification.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, space components, manufacturing, or high-reliability production environments.
- Experience performing visual inspection, nondestructive testing support, or in-process inspection.
- Experience working under standardized company, customer, or industry quality procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Perform receiving, visual, dimensional, and quality inspections.
- Inspect components, assemblies, and related hardware for conformance to requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Review work against drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and inspection instructions.
- Apply GD&T principles during inspection activity.
- Document inspection results and quality findings.
- Identify nonconforming conditions and communicate quality concerns.
- Accept or reject inspected work based on applicable requirements.
- Support general surveillance of work in progress.
- Work under established company and industry quality policies, practices, and procedures.
- Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and inspection personnel as needed.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 9x80 A schedule.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Onsite role.
