Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

The Quality Inspector evaluates incoming materials, in‑process assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet all specifications and quality standards. This role identifies defects, maintains accurate inspection records, manages inspection queues and priorities, and helps prevent nonconforming product from reaching customers. The position supports a rapidly growing production operation and plays a key role in upholding ISO 9001 and internal quality management system (QMS) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, in‑process components, and final products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Manage inspection queues, shelf inventory, and non-stock (NS) items while balancing priorities to support production needs and minimize delays.
  • Use precision measurement tools, such as calipers, along with visual inspection techniques and data review, to confirm product conformity to specifications.
  • Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming materials and defects to the quality team in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Segregate and control nonconforming materials in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal QMS procedures to prevent them from reaching customers.
  • Record inspection results, measurements, and findings completely and accurately, following ISO 9001 and internal QMS documentation requirements.
  • Perform all inspection activities in alignment with ISO 9001, internal QMS procedures, and applicable customer or regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to communicate inspection findings and support corrective actions.
  • Apply GD&T principles when interpreting drawings and evaluating parts to ensure dimensional and geometric compliance.
  • Execute inspection processes with consistency and discipline to ensure repeatable and dependable results.

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated inspection proficiency, with the ability to perform accurate and consistent inspections using appropriate tools, techniques, and established methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools, including calipers, for dimensional verification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to detect, document, and communicate defects with precision and accuracy.
  • Consistency and reliability in executing inspection processes to ensure repeatable, dependable results.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly report inspection findings and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and quality management system (QMS) procedures.
  • Experience documenting inspection results in accordance with internal QMS and customer requirements.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing production environment with evolving priorities.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing and production environment that is experiencing significant growth, with the technician team expanding substantially on the production floor. The facility serves as a primary headquarters location, creating strong long-term growth opportunities for local candidates. The Quality Inspector works closely with technicians, manufacturing personnel, engineers, and quality professionals, using precision measurement tools such as calipers and following ISO 9001 and internal QMS procedures. The environment is collaborative and fast-paced, with a strong focus on product quality, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits
