Join an international distributor of mechanical and defense-related components supporting customer quality requirements across manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for inspecting mechanical parts, verifying documentation, and ensuring all materials meet engineering and customer specifications.

* Perform inspection of mechanical components using engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
* Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with prints, certificates, and testing documentation
* Review and verify documentation including Certificates of Conformance, inspection records, and traceability information
* Make decisions to accept, reject, hold, or release materials and document results in internal systems
* Generate inspection reports and support First Article Inspections (FAIRs) for customer approval
* Identify quality issues and escalate nonconformance concerns to quality leadership
* Support traceability by verifying lot numbers, heat numbers, and related documentation
* Evaluate parts for potential risks such as corrosion, damage, improper packaging, or shelf-life concerns



Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience inspecting mechanical parts in a manufacturing or quality control environment
* Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
* Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measurement devices
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality environments
* Able to read and understand material specifications, coatings, heat treatments, and part requirements
* High school diploma or GED

Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Experience generating inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
* Familiarity with AS9102 forms and documentation standards
* Experience working with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
* Experience using CMM or optical measurement equipment
