Job Title: Quality Inspector Location: Dawsonville, GA Shift: Day Shift Salary: $22$25 per hour (DOE) Opportunities for Advancement: Potential to move into a Quality Manager role for the right candidate Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves performing inspections across multiple departments within the shop to ensure products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate is experienced with inspection tools, highly attentive to detail, and motivated to contribute to the companys quality initiatives.
Ideally, this person will be able to handle daily inspections and quickly transition into the Quality Manager role, which includes reviewing customer returns, scheduling reworks or replacements, conducting management review boards to discuss quality issues with upper management, and serving as the liaison with customers on any quality concerns. This position offers excellent growth potential for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of parts and products across all shop departments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Use precision inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and other measurement devices.
Collaborate closely with the Quality team and report directly to the Quality Supervisor (Nick).
Assist with the assessment and proper utilization of the Hexagon Arm inspection system.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain compliance with internal quality procedures.
Identify and report discrepancies, deviations, or potential quality issues.
For candidates transitioning to the Quality Manager role:
Review customer returns and schedule reworks or replacements.
Conduct management review boards to address quality issues with upper management.
Act as the primary liaison with customers regarding quality concerns.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in quality inspection or a related field preferred.
Proficiency with inspection tools including calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, etc.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or defects in parts/products.
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Ambition and readiness to grow into a management role within the quality department.
