Summary of Position
The primary function of the Quality Associate is to perform a variety of quality assurance tasks focused
around incoming quality control and product returns, and completing those tasks in an accurate, efficient,
and detail-oriented manner.
*Below is a complete list of department responsibilities and requirements, workers will be trained in the
below responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with incoming quality control inspections, and other requirements for the company’s qualitymanagement system
• Verify production counts by completing the ‘Manufacturing Shift Quality Control Checklist’
• Inspect incoming supplier products for damaged goods
• Pull samples for IQC Inspections (NNC, travel case, travel bags, etc.)
• Organize returned merchandise and keep accurate, detailed records
• Unpack and inspect returned merchandise, performing quality inspection, test for specification
conformance, review condition of product, and process replacements (when applicable)
• Enter notes regarding replacements into the company’s ticketing system
• Collect return data and ensure that data entries are accurate
• Communicate the status of returns to customers via email
• Maintain the returned goods inventory area by making sure all items are properly tagged, organized,
and processed in a timely manner
• Meet and maintain company productivity and quality standards
• Communicate and cooperate with management and co-workers
• Help maintain a safe and clean work environment in assigned work area, the facility, and on
company property
• Clean and refurbish qualifying returned merchandise
• Complete all documents fully, neatly, and accurately
• Miscellaneous fulfilment and QA projects
• Move pallets
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Demand and Ability Requirements
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of work standing in one place for up to 4 hours at a time
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, twist, and reach for materials
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend or crouch
• Ability to perform repetitive movements while standing
• Ability to visually inspect small details
Job Skill Requirements
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, or ability to learn computer skills quickly
• Ability to meet deadlines and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, with an ability to accurately record and organizedata
• Ability to work independently
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude
Educational Requirements
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
