Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of components and assemblies during receiving, machining, and production assembly stages. This role requires comfort with using microscopesfor up to 10 hours a day. The Quality Inspector will verify that products and certification packages meet all applicable requirements and specifications, document and communicate inspection findings clearly and effectively, and maintain accurate, detailed, and organized inspection records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection of components and assemblies during receiving, machining, and production assembly stages.

  • Verify products and certification packages meet all applicable requirements and specifications.

  • Document and communicate inspection findings clearly and effectively.

  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized inspection records.

  • Utilize standard inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, CMM, and optical systems.

  • Conduct 70% visual inspection and 30% mechanical inspection.

Essential Skills

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in QC Inspection in Medical or Aerospace industries.

  • Proficiency in using standard inspection tools and equipment.

  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Vision Measuring Machines (VMM) is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Familiarity with military specifications and industry standards.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.

Work Environment

The work hours for this position are 4:00 pm to 3:00 am, Monday through Friday, as part of the Night Shift. There is a minimum of ten hours of overtime available weekly.

This is a Contract position based out of Burbank, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
