The Quality Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for MMC - Mechanical Manufacturing Center (Machine Shop, Composite, Mechanisms, Paint and Chemical Lab and Test support activities) day-to-day leadership of a Production Quality Assurance team comprised of Inspectors, providing oversight during the manufacturing and test of deliverable products. Manages development, modification, application and maintenance of quality evaluation and control systems utilized during the processing of materials into partially finished or finished products. Responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, assigning work and administering recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees collaboration with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Monitors the audit of

quality systems for deficiency identification and corrective

actions. Supports area Corrective Action Boards (CABs) and defect reduction teams. Additionally, the position will require strong leadership, communication - both oral and written - and presentation skills. Leadership duties require frequent internal customer interaction and requires Full Spectrum Leadership qualities to manage these activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Ability to effectively assign and prioritize work tasks, manage resources, and make real-time processing decisions within a manufacturing environment to meet cost, schedule, and quality needs
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures, reports and engineering drawings
  • Must be able to work off shifts, overtime and non-standard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet program requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an

accredited college in technical discipline ((e.g.,

engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g.,

math, physics, chemistry, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Windchill, SAP, and VECAMs.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Work Instructions
  • Root Cause Analysis experience or training
  • Mechanical/Composite/Machine Shop experience including working knowledge of GD&T, handheld measuring tools, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
  • Knowledge of Production Manufacturing and Quality processes in the aerospace environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification of better
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
