This position is crucial for overseeing the implementation and ongoing optimization of our company's quality framework. You will be tasked with troubleshooting and maintaining quality protocols, as well as spearheading projects under the guidance of the Quality Manager.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure adherence to quality system policies across all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through systematic audits and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure that project milestones are met promptly.
- Support the inspection teams in achieving consistent performance and quick turnarounds for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development and refinement of Quality Plans, sampling strategies, and inspection processes.
- Play a vital role in product design evaluations, focusing on print accuracy and recommending effective sampling methods.
- Partner with inspection personnel to develop reliable inspection techniques that yield repeatable results.
- Conduct comprehensive studies such as process capability and design of experiments, providing insights to enhance product and process efficiency.
- Engage in the analysis and resolution of nonconformance issues, maintaining open lines of communication with all relevant parties.
**Additional Duties:**
- Fulfill other site management responsibilities, including supplier and site audits when required.
- Serve as a quality representative during customer engagements, particularly in resolving complaints.
- Analyze statistical data and specifications to validate conformance with customer standards.
- Innovate with new techniques and technologies to boost quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Oversee automotive PPAP submissions and coordinate related quality analyses.
- Participate in design reviews, assessing prints for manufacturing feasibility.
**Skills and Competencies:**
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485, and IATF16949 standards, with internal auditing experience.
- Strong foundation in Quality Engineering, Metrology, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency with vision systems and basic programming is beneficial.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, balancing production and engineering demands effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for clear dissemination of findings and requirements across the organization.
- Expertise in applied statistics, reliability, design of experiments, and project management.
- Competent in various software tools used for project management, databases, and data acquisition.
- Highly organized with a knack for interpersonal engagement.
**Qualifications:**
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, ideally in engineering disciplines such as BS, BSE, or BSME, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality assurance or as a senior inspector in the manufacturing sector.
- Desired certifications include Certified Quality Engineer, Manager, or Auditor, with a dedication to continual learning through courses and seminars.
- Proficient in SPC, automotive PPAP processes, MSA, with a preference for experience in Reach/RoHS and ISO14001.
