Quality Engineer (Contract)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing company on Milwaukee's north side to identify a Quality Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity.
This is a hands-on role supporting quality systems, audits, corrective actions, supplier quality, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement efforts in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working cross-functionally with operations and helping solve quality challenges on the production floor.
Responsibilities
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
Support customer and supplier quality activities
Assist with audits and quality system compliance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Support quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions
Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to resolve quality issues
Qualifications
Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with problem-solving tools such as CAPA, 8D, or 5 Why
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and wear multiple hats

Preferred Experience
ISO 9001 experience
Supplier quality experience
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
Assembly manufacturing experience

Pay Details: $38.00 to $42.00 per hour
