JOB SUMMARY:
The Plant Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting quality activities and provide quality leadership at the plant. Collaborate and train team members for use quality method and tools and support Plant for improvement initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in technical field or 10+ years' experience; Bachelor's in Engineering preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in AIAG APQP processes.
Quality Certification (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, CQA, etc.) desirable.
TRAVEL:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Subject matter expert in Quality Tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC).
Lead cross functional teams in problem solving.
Professional communication with internal and external customers.
Driven professional with a passion to improve systems and processes.
Strong working knowledge in PFMEA and Control Plans.
Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.
Demonstrated success as a person who solves problems in a manufacturing operation.
Knowledge about Lean manufacturing methods.
Understanding of Quality Systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members.
High level computer skills to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Sense of urgency and an overall customer satisfaction focus.
