Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Quality Department, ensuring that all processes and products meet our high standards and align with organizational goals and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support daily Quality Department operations and assume leadership responsibilities when needed.
- Develop and maintain quality objectives that align with organizational goals and customer requirements.
- Create, implement, and improve inspection, testing, and evaluation processes.
- Lead quality planning activities related to manufacturing processes, product development, and production support.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, supplier documentation, and quality records to ensure compliance.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Review quality data, audit findings, and inspection results to ensure consistency with established procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve overall product performance.
- Investigate customer complaints and coordinate quality-related corrective actions.
- Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and improvement initiatives to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry, customer, and regulatory quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization initiatives.
- Develop and deliver quality-related training to employees and cross-functional teams.
- Support internal, customer, and external audits as required.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality.
- Experience supporting production environments and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of SPC, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and quality system methodologies.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting quality data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

The work environment is a normal office setting with quiet noise levels.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
