Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Quality Department, ensuring that all processes and products meet our high standards and align with organizational goals and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily Quality Department operations and assume leadership responsibilities when needed.
  • Develop and maintain quality objectives that align with organizational goals and customer requirements.
  • Create, implement, and improve inspection, testing, and evaluation processes.
  • Lead quality planning activities related to manufacturing processes, product development, and production support.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, supplier documentation, and quality records to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Review quality data, audit findings, and inspection results to ensure consistency with established procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve overall product performance.
  • Investigate customer complaints and coordinate quality-related corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and improvement initiatives to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry, customer, and regulatory quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver quality-related training to employees and cross-functional teams.
  • Support internal, customer, and external audits as required.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Experience supporting production environments and driving process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of SPC, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and quality system methodologies.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting quality data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a normal office setting with quiet noise levels.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
