Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineer to support product launches through process improvement, root cause analysis, and product quality in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Purchasing to drive quality outcomes that meet our standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product/process failures and lead root-cause investigations
  • Support corrective and preventative action (CAPA) efforts
  • Respond to customer complaints and audit failures
  • Own and manage IATF 16949 QMS processes
  • Develop PFMEAs, control plans, and quality documentation
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and manage non-conformances
  • Track quality metrics, trends, and reports
  • Support APQP, MRB, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years in a quality engineering or manufacturing role
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001/14001 standards
  • Experience with SPC, MSA, CAPA, and technical writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Minitab
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T

Preferred

  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Internal auditor experience
  • Experience in automotive or plastics manufacturing

Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Travel: Up to 20%
  • Work Location: In-person (Manufacturing + Office)
  • Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, walk/stand in manufacturing areas
