Our sheet metal and metal stamping client is hiring a Quality Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer
Conduct internal quality audits
Facilitate the Part Submission Warrant documentation
Assist with the documentation of the DFMEA's, PFMEA's and Quality Control Plans
Facilitate 8D, 5 Whys, 4M, ISIR, etc. documentation
Facilitate Material Review Board team audits
Be instrumental in the use and application of metrology
Oversee inspection functions and be involved with product launches, changes and corrective actions
Requirements of the Quality Engineer
Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline is strongly preferred but not mandatory
One or more years in quality engineering in a metal forming environment, ideally sheetmetal, fasteners, wireforms, welding or metal stampings
Familiarity with metrology and the quality aspects of sheet metal parts that are produced on machinery such as Fiber Optic Lasers, CNC Turrets, OBI punch presses, 60-ton press brakes, power shears, notchers, timesavers, spot welders, sanders, grinders, sanding lathes, deburring machines, drill presses, tapping machines, saw mills and inserters is a plus
Use MS Office including Excel and Word
Some limited travel may be required including for supplier audits or to visit customers

Compensation for the Quality Engineer
The annual starting salary for this position ranges from $75,000 per year to $105,000 per year based on experience
