Quality Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to support plant operations in developing, maintaining, and improving quality standards. This role partners closely with internal teams and customers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure product quality, and resolve issues effectively.Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including part approvals and supporting documentationDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer concerns and quality issuesCollaborate directly with customers to resolve issues and support ongoing improvement effortsTrain and guide plant personnel on quality systems, tools, and best practicesOversee and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems for assigned productsPartner with quality technicians and analysts to execute and evaluate process auditsSupport a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing operationsEnsure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirementsTravel as needed to customer locations, suppliers, and other manufacturing sitesQualifications Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levelsSolid technical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving capabilitiesExperience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, SPC)Proficiency with standard computer applications and data analysis toolsFamiliarity with quality systems such as QS-9000 and/or IATF 16949ASQ Certification (e.g., CQE) or internal auditor experience is a plusEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related fieldORAssociate degree with 2–5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and operationsAdditional Skills Ability to interpret technical documents and specificationsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to diverse audiencesWorking knowledge of basic mathematics, algebra, and geometryAbility to analyze data and apply logical problem‑solving techniquesCombination of office, manufacturing floor, and customer sitesExposure to typical production machinery and environmentsModerate noise levels on the plant floor (hearing protection required in designated areas)Role requires standing, walking, and frequent use of hands and arms#J-18808-Ljbffr
