This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 based on experience.
This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Engineer supports product quality and compliance across Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, Procurement, and Product Assurance. This role assists with quality planning, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to ensure timely delivery of reliable, cost-effective products. The QA Engineer also works closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers while gaining exposure to product qualification, testing, and inspections.
Key Position Accountabilities:
- Provide day-to-day QA support for production, engineering, and procurement activities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining quality planning procedures to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Support investigations of non-conformances, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review engineering change notices, manufacturing processes, and SOPs for compliance.
- Support product qualification testing and inspections under guidance of senior QA staff.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure performance requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Applied Sciences is preferred
- Six Sigma Certification (e.g. CSSGB, or comparable) is preferred
- = 3 years of related experience (Manufacturing, Industrial, etc.) is preferred
- Knowledge of AS9100, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, and IPC-A-610 is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, articulate and present technical information in both written and verbal forms
- Demonstrated ability to develop excellent working relationships with management, customers, and vendors
- Excellent time management skills
Work Environment:
- This position requires access to a cleanroom environment. In order to promote an environment with a low level of airborne environmental pollutants employees must at all times adhere to company procedures.
- The cleanroom area is accessed via an air shower wearing an ESD lab coat and hair net
