This role is responsible for improving product quality, strengthening manufacturing processes, and enhancing the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. You'll lead investigations, drive corrective actions, and collaborate across teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory standards.

Description

  • Support and enhance the Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
  • Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies such as 5 Whys, FMEA, and data-driven techniques
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, delivering timely and effective corrective actions
  • Partner with production teams to ensure quality standards, inspection processes, and acceptance criteria are consistently met
  • Coordinate and manage First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in line with AS9102 requirements, including full documentation ownership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on new product introductions, process validations, and feasibility reviews
  • Support supplier quality initiatives, including performance monitoring and corrective action management
  • Analyse key quality metrics (scrap, rework, returns, FPY) to identify trends and implement improvements
  • Participate in internal, customer, and certification audits
  • Contribute to risk assessments and proactively support mitigation strategies

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality environments
  • Background in a regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, or similar
  • Strong understanding of quality systems (e.g., AS9100) and First Article Inspection processes
  • Proven experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
  • Familiarity with inspection methods, measurement systems, and calibration standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Professional certifications (CQE, ASQ) are a plus
