My client is an automotive manufacturer and they have been experiencing rapid growth over the years and are now looking to bring on an additional Quality Engineer to help build out their quality team. Client Details

My client specializes in the manufacturing injection molded components and equipment for the automotive industry. They are a global company with several locations in Illinois and a facility in Europe as well. They invest in the things that matter, as they have a state of the art facility (including a high-end robotic coffee maker!). At the same time, they promote a casual work environment, with the CEO often wearing jeans and a sweatshirt everyday.

Description

• Maintain consistent compliance with IATF 16949
• Lead cross-functional teams to create and update Process Control Plans/Manufacturing Process Plans, FMEAs, and Process Masters
• Initiate and coordinate follow-up activity on Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAR/PAR)
• Coordinate activity related to Claims and Non-Conforming Product including processing the required internal and external documentation
• Review Material Test Reports for compliance to order specifications and submit to customers
• Log quality related data such as nonconformances and first pass quality into QA databases
• Generate quality reports and update monthly key performance indicators (KPI) data
• Prepare First Article/Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission packages
• Perform Internal Quality Audits in conformance with IATF 16949
• Coordinate supplier quality activity including supplier quality audits and surveys

• Background in the automotive industry
• Exposure to IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 QMS
• Injection molding experience
• PPAP experience
• Auditing experience
• Experience handling customer complaints
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
