    OverviewJob Description: Quality EngineerThe Carlstar Aiken Wheel Center of Excellence located in Aiken, South Carolina is a diverse organization of scientists, engineers, and supporting staff, whose primary mission is to provide the quality and technology required to support Carlstar's global wheel businesses. In this role you will lead, coach, facilitate and support the implementation of quality initiatives, continuous improvement of Quality Management System (QMS), problem solve, perform data analysis, continuous improvement activities and interact routinely with Customers.ResponsibilitiesLiaison with company and Customers on Quality matters. Coordinate performance reports, on-site customer quality audits and the completion of self-audits as requested.Lead site Quality Technicians in meeting customer expectations in complaint and nonconforming investigation responses.Identify manufacturing and development constraints. Work with management and technical staff in preforming root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions to preclude recurrence.Assumes responsibility for various assigned projects designed to improve product quality, reduce costs and/or validate facility products or processes, including development and implementation of any new or required inspection methods and in-process SPC programs.Prioritize, plan, and execute work activities in alignment with department and company priorities with minimal supervision.Support the development and maintenance of QMS to ensure compliance to standards, including ISO9001. Conduct internal and external audits, publish findings and recommendations.Create reports, communicate and publish quality measurements and objectives.Perform all other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.Minimum 3 years of related experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.Ability to manage projects and interact with cross-functional groups.Must be able to travel a minimum of 20% of the time.Experience in ISO9001:2015 in preferred.6 Sigma, Shainin, or other statistical problem solving certification and/or experience preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
