-Must be able to read heavy structural welding blueprints
-Must be able to interpret Weld Symbols
-Familiarity with Flux-Core is a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of welded products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Utilize various testing methods, including visual inspections and non-destructive testing techniques.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
- Collaborate with the welding team to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality.
- Assist in training team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to welding quality control.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in welding or quality control preferred.
- Proven experience in quality control within a welding environment.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and standards.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and non-destructive testing methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
