Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Quality Control – Test & Inspection Supervisor to supervise the in-process quality control staff and provide technical and quality control support for the Switchgear Division. This position will direct staff to ensure products are built and tested according to customer and MEPPI specifications and quality requirements while maintaining production flow and a positive employee relations and work environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise the daily activities and staff required to ensure in-process and testing quality of finished goods according to company specifications with emphasis on positive employee relations.
- Lead staff according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company and department objectives.
- Supervise staff by communicating job expectations; monitoring and appraising job performance; and providing coaching and training.
- Provide technical support and advice to employees in the manufacturing, engineering and sales departments to prevent and/or remedy quality problems.
- Participate in Kaizen events as necessary.
- Investigate and assist in the disposition of quality problems by reviewing quality trends, tracking the root cause(s) of the problem(s), coordinating corrective actions and implementing appropriate adjustments. Resolve inquiries to satisfaction in a courteous and timely manner.
- Review quality trends to prevent or reduce defects. Support and make recommendations to improve Company policies and procedures.
- Supervise the rework of all non-conforming material in the 512 Building.
- Perform quality audits as required.
- Assist engineering with design improvement and cost reduction efforts.

What You’ll Bring:
- Associate's degree in a technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience with quality control/inspection and 2 years of management/supervisor experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of quality control, engineering, production, and statistical methods and techniques.
- Advanced interpersonal communication, and presentation skills required to communicate and maintain effective relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material.
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office Products and ERP/MRP systems.
