Responsibilities:
- Learn and perform all tests and procedures required for the Quality Control Lab Technician position.
- Produce accurate and truthful data in a safe manner according to the procedures and guidelines.
- Work rotating shifts without supervision, demonstrating responsibility and self-motivation.
- Communicate effectively and report results in a timely manner.
- Support and comply with the company's safety programs and attend safety meetings.
- Multi-task and prioritize work in a busy environment.
- Perform testing on and approve incoming raw materials.
- Perform testing on in-process samples and approve/reject completed production batches.
- Perform testing on samples from outgoing containers, tank wagons, drums, and totes from Traffic and Warehouse.
- Perform testing on R & D and other samples.
- Record results in the designated workbooks, testing plans, LIMS, and SAP.
- Report unsafe conditions, out-of-spec results, or unsafe behavior to a supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's degree in chemistry is preferred.
- Minimum five years of quality experience is required with an Associate's degree, or one year of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (Day, Evening, Night).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
