Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Supervisor to join a manufacturing team in Shelton, CT. In this role, you will lead daily quality inspection activities, ensure product quality standards are met, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain compliance, improve processes, and drive overall quality performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead QC Inspectors and Quality Technicians on the production floor
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements
- Review inspection reports, documentation, and non-conformance issues
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and management teams
- Maintain and improve quality processes, procedures, and work instructions
- Train and mentor team members on quality standards and inspection techniques
- Monitor quality metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Quality Control or Quality Supervisor role in manufacturing
- Strong understanding of inspection methods, tools, and quality systems
- Experience leading or mentoring a team
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Keyence systems
- CMM programming or operation experience
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality documentation
- Background in precision manufacturing or machining environments
