In this role you will join the Quality Control Team and report to the Quality Control Manager.

 

You will accomplish day to day tactical objectives in support of the company and the department goals. Demonstrates adherence to company policies and procedures in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale (SQDCM) initiatives. Responsibilities:

 

Role(s) – The role of a Quality Control Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring that products meet the required standards and specifications before they reach the customer. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at maintaining and improving product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Control Supervisor acts as the guardian of quality within the organization, bridging the gap between production processes and the end customer's expectations. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to quality. Here are the key aspects of a Quality Control Supervisor's role: 

  • Implementing Quality Standards: Establishing, documenting, and maintaining clear quality standards and processes.
  • Supervising Inspections: Overseeing the inspection of production processes and final products to ensure they meet predefined standards.
  • Equipment Management: Ensuring all quality control equipment is in working order and calibrated correctly to provide accurate measurements.
  • Analyzing Quality Data: Collecting and analyzing data from inspections to identify trends, issues, or areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Preparing detailed reports on quality control activities, findings, and quality metrics to inform management decisions.
  • Leading a Team: Managing and leading a team of quality control inspectors, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Training Development: Developing training programs to ensure all team members are knowledgeable about quality standards, company requirements, and their specific roles in maintaining them.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies or problems in production processes and collaborating with other departments to implement solutions.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all products meet legal and regulatory requirements, as well as industry standards. Customer Complaints: Addressing customer complaints related to quality, investigating the issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Customer Requirements: Understanding customer needs and expectations to align quality control efforts with customer satisfaction goals.
  • Safety Standards: Ensuring quality control processes adhere to health and safety regulations and standards. 
  • Ethical Standards: Maintaining high ethical standards in all testing and reporting, ensuring product quality and safety are never compromised.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities (s) –

 

THE QUALITY SUPERVISOR ENSURES PRODUCTS MEET STRICT STANDARDS WHILE MANAGING TEAM OPERATIONS AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE. THEY ESTABLISH QUALITY PROCESSES, OVERSEE PRODUCT INSPECTIONS, AND HANDLE BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL QUALITY AUDITS. THE SUPERVISOR MANAGES, SCHEDULES, AND TRAINS THE QUALITY CONTROL TEAM ON PROCEDURES AND EQUIPMENT. ADDITIONALLY, THEY RESOLVE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS, COLLABORATE WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS, AND MANAGE PRODUCT QUALITY RISKS. FINALLY, THIS ROLE REQUIRES A SPECIFIC UNDERSTANDING OF MOBIS GEORGIA MODULE FUNCTIONS AND THEIR ASSEMBLY PROCESSES.

  • Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Standards
  • Establish, document, and implement standards, procedures, and quality control processes to ensure products meet required specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct Inspections and Audits
  • Oversee the inspection of incoming materials, the manufacturing process, and the final output to ensure compliance with quality standards. This includes managing routine audits of processes and quality systems.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze data from quality tests and inspections to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, inspection results, and audit findings to senior management.
  • Manage Quality Control Team
  • Lead and manage a team of quality control inspectors, including training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
  • Training and Guidance
  • Develop and conduct training programs to ensure team members are competent in quality standards, procedures, and use of quality control equipment.
  • Foster a Quality Culture
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness among employees across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity. Implement corrective actions and process modifications to address quality issues.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure products and processes comply with relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements. This may involve managing audits and inspections by external bodies.
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Address customer feedback and complaints related to quality, investigating issues, and taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
  • Work closely with other departments, such as manufacturing and procurement, to integrate quality control measures throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Promote Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure that all quality control activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks to product quality or safety and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Understand the customer assembly process as related to Mobis Georgia modules.
  • Understand of module function (Chassis, Cockpit, FEM, Bumper)

Qualifications:

Experience: 3 - 5 years Automotive Assembly Quality Control experience

Managerial Experience: 3-5 Years

Education: High School Diploma required, AA/AS or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Degree Field:Business Administration

Mathematical Skills: Basic

Certified/Technical Skills
