Job Summary\n \nPPI Quality & Engineering is a global provider of quality assurance and inspection services supporting the energy industry, and is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. In this role, you will perform and witness inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and PPI Quality & Engineering procedures. You will verify equipment calibration, confirm technician certifications, and produce clear, accurate inspection reports that support informed decision-making. Acting as the customer's representative at supplier and fabrication sites, you will promote safe work practices, communicate inspection results to project coordinators and stakeholders, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who values precision, accountability, and operational excellence in quality execution.\n \nAbout the role\n \nWitness inspections and testing per inspection test plans, quality plans, industry standards, supplier and customer requirements \n \nVerify inspection, measurement, and test equipment is calibrated/certified and meets all job related requirements \n \nValidate technician certification(s) are current for the intended scope of activity \n \nAs the Customer Representative, work in a professional manner with Suppliers in regards to scheduling, deliveries, and overall job execution \n \nGenerate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities \n \nGenerate clear, concise, and accurate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of activities under surveillance \n \nMeet or exceed HSSE objectives of customer and Supplier, as well as PPI safety guidelines \n \nCommunicate (via email or phone) job progression and inspection results to coordinator and Customer as required \n \nPromote safe work practices; for example, utilize all PPE required by the immediate work area, comply with Supplier safety practices while at Supplier locations, etc. \n \nComply with PPI Quality Management System and its documented information\n \nDo you have what it takes?\n \nMinimum Requirements \n \nHigh school diploma or equivalent \n \nLevel II NDT Certification(s) (from an accredited body) or completion of Level II NDT Training and compliance to PPI NDT Qualification Written Practice \n \nTechnical understanding of operations within field of specialization (OCTG, Wellheads, Engineered Equipment, Drilling and Completion Tools, etc.) \n \nThorough understanding of third-party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly, etc.) \n \nUnderstanding of and experience with industry quality standards and codes (API, ASNT, ASME, NACE, DS-1, etc.) \n \nAdequate verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and co-workers \n \nBasic PC skills and some proficiency with spreadsheets \n \nAbility to work in a team-oriented environment and complete work on a schedule, including working long hours and weekends if necessary \n \nDecision-making ability, including making decisions regarding day-to-day operations and changing methods to obtain best results \n \nDesired Qualifications \n \nAmerican Welding Society (AWS) \u2013 Certified Welding Inspector certification \n \nNational Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) certification CIP Level II (or greater) \n \n3-5 years of experience in a Third Party Inspection role. \n \n5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry\n \nWhat can you expect from us in return?\n \nAt PPI Quality & Engineering, you'll join a dynamic, growing organization with a strong, collaborative culture.
