The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Quality Control - Player Development for Athletics - Football. This position will assist with the coaching of football student-athletes in concert with the Head Football Coach and within the rules of the NCAA and Rutgers University.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Assist with providing tactical and technical on-field instruction to student-athletes.
  • Assist with practice activities/drills.
  • Assist with film breakdown and analysis.
  • Assist with on-campus recruiting activities.
  • Teach student-athletes time management and goal setting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience coaching and/or playing college football.

Certifications/Licenses

  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the BIG TEN Football Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized

  • Computer, IPad, Microsoft Office, Catapult Thunder, Pro Footbal Focus, Good Notes, drive university vehicles.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Special Conditions

  • Safe Driving Record.
