· Five plus years of direct hands-on working experience as an in-process / final inspector on PCBAs or CCAs, cable harnesses, integrated electronic systems and subsystems, and machined parts.
· Familiar and direct working knowledge of J-STD-001 / IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and IPC-A-600. Prior or current IPC training and/or certification is preferred.
· Ability to read, comprehend and interpret engineering drawings and documentation such as electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical and assembly drawings, BOM, and assembly instructions, and etc.
· Direct working knowledge of performing First Article Inspection (FAI) and preparing FAIR per AS9102.
· Ability to use mechanical measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and basic electrical measurement tools, etc., and understand the relationship of tolerance-based tool selection and measurement accuracy.
· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry such as decimals, fractions, length, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Understand the logic of GD&T.
· Ability to confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards or applicable requirements.
· Ability to operate computers and able to use computer applications and files such Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe PDF, Outlook emails, and other databased platforms.
· Detail oriented, dedicated and self-motivated.
· Ability to work under minimum supervision.
· Ability to adjust in fast-paced dynamic operations.
· Work well in a team environment.
· Must have good interpersonal skills.
· Perform visual and dimensional checks various products (including PCBAs or CCAs, Conformal Coating of CCAs, Cables and Harnesses, sheet metal, machined parts, labels or markings, COTS items, and etc.) at various stages (such as Incoming, RMA, In-process, Final, Shipping, etc.) per IPC standards and engineering documentations.
· Perform First Article Inspection and prepare FAIRs per AS9102 as needed.
· Record Inspection findings and generate NCMR’s, DCRs’ and ERRs’ as needed.
· Communicate with the Project Mangers or QA for any possible delays and/or resolutions of any urgent and high priority jobs.
