Job Title: Quality Control Inspector 3rd
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Location: Elkhart, IN
Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday – Friday | 9:00 PM – 45:30AM
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving quality systems in a rubber manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong understanding of ISO standards, root cause analysis methods, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure product compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards
Assist in investigating customer complaints and prepare reports, including CCR (Customer Complaint Reports)
Utilize and demonstrate root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone (Ishikawa) to identify and resolve quality issues
Support the QC Manager in maintaining ISO documentation and audit readiness
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality concerns and recommend corrective actions
Provide coverage in the absence of QC leadership and assist in training and mentoring other team members when needed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior experience in quality control, preferably in the rubber or manufacturing industry
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and procedures
Working knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, 8D, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in a leadership or support role is a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable using basic computer programs and quality software
