Are you the QA leader who turns standards into practice?

If guiding engineers, elevating rigor, and navigating NRC/DOE/ASME requirements sounds like your kind of challenge, this role is for you. You’ll ensure equipment qualification work meets contractual commitments and Westinghouse program expectations while coaching a high-performing team. You will report to the Quality Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor engineers delivering complex equipment qualification tasks.
  • Oversee work execution, delegate effectively, and grow talent through coaching and training.
  • Develop technical training content for critical product areas.
  • Provide support and manager input to PFP reviews.
  • Integrate contractual and Westinghouse quality program requirements into project planning documentation.
  • Conduct in-process software audits to confirm compliance.
  • Plan and support customer audit readiness and execution.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Spot and define technical issues early; coordinate resolution to closure.
  • Contribute to the IPC budget for Quality line items.
  • Promote discipline and create structured peer-check opportunities across the team.
  • Support resource development: regular check-ins, TLDP progression reviews, development assignments, and onboarding.
  • Manage priorities, make data-based decisions, and communicate effectively with management and WEC staff.
  • Advance a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) and reinforce Westinghouse’s Nuclear Safety Culture.
  • Apply industry, regulatory, and NRC/DOE/ASME codes, standards, and criteria in daily execution.
  • Serve on internal audit teams, lead internal audits, and comment on proposed Level 2 procedure revisions.

What you bring

  • Technical bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of nuclear QA experience; proficient with multiple ISO standards, ASME NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, and related nuclear QA standards.
  • Demonstrated judgment and the ability to handle multiple assignments from supervisory project managers and mentors.
