We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at the Central Kitchen Commissary. This role is primarily based on the production floor, where you will ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, monitoring the QA programs, and support Associates in maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation throughout the facility.

About the role

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the plant in accordance with company guidelines and local, state, and federal regulations.

Monitor the QA programs and maintain required documentation to support compliance.

Train, develop, and support Associates on food safety, quality, and sanitation standards, processes, and programs.

Address and correct non‑compliance or deviations from established safety and quality standards through timely corrective and preventive actions.

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to monitor and ensure ongoing compliance.

Maintain, verify, and validate quality and food safety checklists, logs, and records.

Communicate compliance status, findings, and improvement recommendations to management.

This role requires a strong production-floor presence, with at least 85% of work time spent walking the floor, observing operations, providing guidance, and enforcing food safety and quality standards.

About you

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs and processes

Ability to work in all areas of the plant, including refrigerated, frozen, hot and humid environments

Flexibility to take on tasks as needed

Experience

Minimum of two years of experience in a food production environment or Associate's degree or higher in a related science preferred

Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
