We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA. The QA Specialist is responsible for ensuring components meet the requirements of the drawings and PO. The QA Specialist is also responsible for supporting the Quality Management System and Safety Program. This role involves inspection of materials, monitoring lab areas, and verifying compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials and some in-process components.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Interpret technical drawings and use measuring equipment to evaluate parts.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and document nonconformances and initiate nonconformance reports and corrective action requests.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and program teams to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, government regulations, and industry best practices.
