Job Summary

Maintains the day to day operations of the automated Quality Assurance Specialist record keeping system and prepares management reports to reflect enrollment and performance data. Serves as a resource to staff and management in areas of WIOA eligibility and enrollment procedures. Assists in training new and current staff in State reporting systems and internal processes.

 

Essential Duties

  • Evaluate program eligibility, enrollments and data validation requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in the case management system.
  • May prepare and analyze core service and monthly enrollments, exits, and outcomes reports.
  • Writes intermediate data queries as needed.
  • Communicates with WorkOne staff on eligibility and clarifies issues that facilitate enrollments. Provides training and technical assistance as needed.
  • Provides training for WorkOne staff.
  • Responsible for data correction.
  • Deals with requests for file transfers.
  • Serves as one of the regions representatives to the State reporting system users group and maybe point of contact for state requested data changes.
  • Applies all applicable regulations as they pertain to WIOA eligibility.
  • Conduct data entry audits to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and consistency across all programs and R5 AJC locations.
  • Attends training, workshops and other meetings as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • May maintain detailed spreadsheets.

 

Working Conditions

Works most of the time in a well ventilated modern office. Performance of duties requires travel within a multi-county area. Works standard 8:00-4:30 pm, except when responsibilities require an adjusted schedule. Work requires some travel within the region.

 

Skill Factors

High school diploma, with additional one year of business or other related training.

 

Education

Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Related, comparable work experience may substitute for a 4 year degree.

 

Experience

At least one year of related professional work experience required. Demonstrable experience in a responsible position requiring independent judgment. Related work experience may substitute for the four year bachelor's degree.

 

Communication

Oral and written skills that demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively.

 

Knowledge

General office procedures, filing systems, telephone procedures, Microsoft Office software, accurate and effective keyboarding skills, familiarity with all other common office equipment, intermediate math skills.

 

Physical Demands

Primarily limited to those associated with modern offices. Ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential. Near visual acuity is needed to read small print and operate a computer.

 

Mental Demands

Decision making discretion is extensive with respect to WIOA eligibility requirements. Minimal supervision provided.
