We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist with food manufacturing experience to support our Quality and Food Safety programs. This role is critical in maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting audits within a regulated food production environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, team-oriented, and experienced in food safety standards and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and organize QA and food safety documentation (SOPs, logs, protocols, training records)
Prepare and distribute technical and food safety documentation to customers
Manage supplier documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met
Create and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
Support food safety programs (HACCP, GFSI) and quality system documentation
Track and maintain records for identity-preserved products (e.g., non-GMO, gluten-free, organic, kosher)
Assist with internal and external audits and inspections
Draft product specifications for new items
Coordinate third-party lab testing for raw materials and finished goods
Maintain product data (including GS1) and customer communication
Support day-to-day QA operations and special projects
Qualifications
Required:
Experience in food manufacturing quality assurance (strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of food safety principles and documentation
Preferred:
HACCP knowledge
Experience with GFSI-based audits or food safety systems
Skills
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective communication and teamwork
