We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist with food manufacturing experience to support our Quality and Food Safety programs. This role is critical in maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting audits within a regulated food production environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, team-oriented, and experienced in food safety standards and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize QA and food safety documentation (SOPs, logs, protocols, training records)

  • Prepare and distribute technical and food safety documentation to customers

  • Manage supplier documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met

  • Create and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs)

  • Support food safety programs (HACCP, GFSI) and quality system documentation

  • Track and maintain records for identity-preserved products (e.g., non-GMO, gluten-free, organic, kosher)

  • Assist with internal and external audits and inspections

  • Draft product specifications for new items

  • Coordinate third-party lab testing for raw materials and finished goods

  • Maintain product data (including GS1) and customer communication

  • Support day-to-day QA operations and special projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience in food manufacturing quality assurance (strongly preferred)

  • Working knowledge of food safety principles and documentation

Preferred:

  • HACCP knowledge

  • Experience with GFSI-based audits or food safety systems

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Effective communication and teamwork

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
