Our client, a Coatings And Paints company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Lab Technician II for their Bakersfield, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The Quality Assurance Lab Technician II provides assistance for the Quality Assurance laboratory with various Quality initiatives;
  • Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.
  • Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
  • Assists in obtaining supplies and calibrating equipment;
  • Analyzing production samples and raw material samples for physical and chemical characteristics;
  • Investigates quality and production issues including customer complaints per supervisor requests;
  • Prepare samples for internal and external customers as requested;
  • Maintains quality production records in a timely manner;
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate government regulations and company procedures;
  • Any ad-hoc task or project assigned by management; quality or production related;
 
Requirements:
  • High School or GED desired;
  • Two (2) years’ Manufacturing or Lab experience, a plus;
  • Demonstrated high level of computer experience;
  • Demonstrated good communication skills;
  • Ability and knowledge in Microsoft office applications (word, excel, and power point);
  • Ability and knowledge in LIMS Software;
  • Job requires honesty and being ethical;
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy and thoroughness in completing work;
  • Ability to keep privileged information confidential;
  • Job requires being cordial with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, fair attitude;
  • Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges;
  • Ability to change gears fast and often;
  • Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace;
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos;
