Quality Assurance Inspection Technician — Ligonier, IN
A day in the life
Step onto the production floor in Ligonier and start your shift by reviewing the day’s build schedules and recent quality metrics. You’ll move between workstations to verify product dimensions, run functional checks, and log your findings. When something looks off, you’ll flag it quickly, partner with production to understand the issue, and help drive practical fixes. Between inspections, you’ll update procedures, keep records current, and contribute to brief huddles to share quality updates and best practices.
What you’ll do
- Perform routine in-process and final inspections, including tests, to verify products meet established specifications and quality standards.
- Capture, document, and communicate nonconformances to the appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Help create, refine, and roll out quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Work closely with production teams to spot trends and opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
- Take part in root cause investigations and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain thorough, organized records of inspections, tests, and key quality indicators.
- Assist with training team members on quality expectations, methods, and best practices.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in quality or related fields is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in quality assurance or quality control is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills and strong interpersonal rapport.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data analysis software.
