JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer

PAY RATE: $53.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Develops, maintains, and audits quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for coated parts including chem-film, anodize, passivation, and organic coatings.

  • Performs technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and process documentation.

  • Partners with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

  • Leads failure investigations, material review board (MRB) actions, and corrective preventive action (CAPA) implementation.

  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to boost internal and supplier performance and productivity.

  • Works with Mil-Spec special processes including heat treatment, stress relief, chem-film, anodize, passivation, and organic coatings.

  • Performs paint processing including part preparation, spray-painting, and thickness testing.

  • Writes instructions and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation for coated parts.

  • Ensures product quality and regulatory compliance for both manufactured and procured components.

  • Applies quality engineering methods to support manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Requirements:

  • Ability to Obtain a Security Clearance.

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Mil-Spec special processes including heat treatment, stress relief, chem-film, anodize, passivation, and organic coatings.

  • At least 3 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • At least 3 years of experience with paint processing including part preparation, spray-painting, and thickness testing.

  • Experience writing work instructions and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.

  • Experience performing technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, and drawings.

  • Experience leading failure investigations, MRB actions, and CAPA implementation.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including program management, engineering, and supply chain.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives for quality and productivity.

  • Knowledge of applicable quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
