PGS Worldwide is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role develops, maintains, and audits quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for coated parts that are manufactured and procured. The position supports technical evaluations, quality issue resolution, failure investigations, corrective actions, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Mil-Spec special processes, including heat treatment, stress relief, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, or related processes

  • At least 3 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

  • At least 3 years of experience with paint processing, including part preparation, spray-painting, and thickness testing

  • Experience writing instructions and First Article Inspections

  • Experience performing technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and process documentation

  • Ability to partner with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality issues

  • Ability to support compliance with applicable standards

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and audit quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for coated parts

  • Support coated parts involving chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, and related processes

  • Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and process documentation

  • Partner with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to resolve quality issues

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards

  • Lead failure investigations, Material Review Board actions, and corrective preventive action implementation

  • Support reliability and regulatory compliance efforts

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity
