Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, automation, and working within an Agile framework. This role will involve collaborating with development teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met across all projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing
- 5 years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium or TOSCA
- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and database changes
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, database, ETL technologies
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using joins
- Experience with Unix and ability to write and execute Unix commands
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Autosys scheduling of jobs
- Familiarity with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)
- Experience working with globally distributed teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
- Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
- Automate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca
- Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
- Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results
- Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration), and report errors and failures
- Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
- Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
- Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with appropriate support and documentation
- Ensure that all standards and processes are being implemented within projects
