Position Description:
KWS: Responsible for ensuring execution of the Quality DMS.
PES & QAR: Responsible for Product Evaluation System and Quality Action Review process execution and adherence, including the management of root cause analysis & corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Leads the Consumer Complaint analysis and application of problem solving tools with extended leadership team to address and reduce consumer complaints.
Holds: Responsible for the oversight and administration of the held product program. This includes the status, release, and destruction of on hold product. This role supports the trending analysis and continuous improvement focus of Quality Loss Write Offs.
SOP/ SOC: Responsible for the adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Operating Conditions as defined by the Operations Manual.
Audits: Supports coordination and preparation for yearly internal, customer and 3rd party audits. Responsible for review of paperwork and HACCP related documents, document control and quality document creation Project Support: Engages with R&D and Corporate to support PDRs, SCRs or PWRs in the facility, ensuring Plant Quality ownership of implementation.
Detail:
Interacts with supervision and employees on a daily basis to ensure timely on-shift Quality Action Reviews (QAR)
Reviews & monitors quality related production paperwork on a minimum of weekly including and engages with employees or supervisors if follow-up is required
Planning, coordinating and ensuring effective execution of all PES processes and training, including Daily Management PES and on-shift QAR
Data analysis of complaint trending and product evaluation and a key member of quality improvement programs related to PES results and complaints
Review of paperwork including those variables that are critical to quality (CTQ) at a minimum of once per week
Ensures execution of the plant hold system and ensures compliance to traceability, hold and release policies
Actively trains new employees in the PES process and ensures calibration across all shifts through periodic monitoring and training
Engages as team member to all quality related SCRs.
Ensures quality parameters, settings and standards are modified and /or added for new or renovated products via the PDR & PWR processes

Accountable for the facilities COA program. Also, responsible for continued development and continuous improvement of such program.
Responsible for quality accountability for all hours of operation.
Responsible for SOC/SOP compliance.
May have responsibility for foreign material and metal detector program compliance.
Supports coordination and ongoing state of readiness for internal and third party audits.
Maintain understanding of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve, plant performance.
Skills Required:
BA degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or equivalent degree with corresponding experience and 3 to 5 years of experience in quality & food safety is required. Strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and ability to work effectively with a team are required.
Previous experience working in a Quality role in a Food Manufacturing Plant is preferred. Project management experience preferred
