_CertainTeed Siding, a division of TOP GLOBAL EMPLOYER Saint-Gobain, has an excellent career opportunity for a Quality and Process Control Manager based at our manufacturing site in Williamsport, MD._


This position is responsible for the leadership and direction of quality systems and process control strategy related to the vinyl siding production process for the Williamsport, MD, plant. The incumbent will control the cost of poor quality by leading efforts to analyze and reduce process variation and develop preventive controls.


Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Central Engineering, Product Management, and other critical functional areas to deliver on key organizational objectives with a specific focus on process control and quality systems.


Essential Functions:


Lead an Integrated Quality & Process Control Organization


+ Build and lead a process-driven team with clear line ownership

+ Establish standard work, roles, and accountability across all process steps

+ Implement daily management systems (tier meetings, KPI visibility, escalation)

+ Drive a culture of process discipline and prevention, with Quality as an enabler

+ Build and lead a process-driven team, fostering cooperation across departments, including quality, maintenance, and production teams


Own Process Control Strategy, PFMEA & Control Plans


+ Lead development and sustainment of PFMEA and Control Plans

+ Translate risks into practical controls, alarms, and reaction plans, automation

+ Ensure controls are actively used on the floor

+ Continuously make updates based on process changes, defects, and scrap trends


Drive Process Stability, Capability & Manufacturing Performance


+ Own process control systems (SPC, automation, parameter control)

+ Reduce variation across blending, extrusion, curing, and finishing

+ Improve yield, throughput, scrap, and line stability

+ Lead process & inspection automation projects (inline monitoring, defect detection)


Maintain & Improve Quality Management System (QMS)


+ Maintain QMS as a framework supporting process control

+ Ensure controls across raw materials, in-process, and final validation

+ Support inspection/data automation and digital integration

+ Lead audits and CAPA tied to COPQ root cause

+ Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA)


Improve Product Quality & Reduce Cost of Poor Quality


+ Lead process-focused problem solving (DMAIC, 8D)

+ Translate customer claims into process improvements

+ Manage KPIs: Yield, scrap/reject (COPQ), process capability

+ Embed learnings into process controls, standards, and training


Qualifications


+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar technical discipline is required

+ Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred

+ 10+ Years of Quality or Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment

Certain states require pay information to be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $111,000 to $177.000 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.


In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $127,650 to $203,550. Bonus payments are part of the variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.
