JOB SUMMARY

The Performance Improvement RN will assist the Quality Management Director in coordinating Performance Improvement activities. He/She will assist with all Performance improvement functions including: measurement and data retrieval, transformation of data into informational reports and identification of opportunities for improvement .


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • Must possess a current Kentucky Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification

Minimum Work Experience

  • Minimum of three years experience in a health care facility

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Participates in data collection for Performance Improvement activities.

• Chart abstractions and chart reviews.

• Attends educational opportunities to stay up to date on quality measures. 

• Supports performance improvement teams with data collection, analysis and presentation.

• Transforms data into information/statistical reports and presentations for committees. 

• Assists with quality measures in conjunction with Med Staff Office.

• Maintains confidentiality at all times.

• Trends data and reports trends in Adverse Patient Outcomes as soon as detected.

• Attends Medical Staff meetings as needed.

• Serves on multiple multidisciplinary committees related to quality measures

• Assists Performance Improvement teams with projects.

• Participates in preparing the hospital for TJC, stroke, and chest pain accreditation. 

• Demonstrates computer skills adequate for proficient use in word, excel, PowerPoint.
