Summary
To maintain a system that is capable of meeting Voith's Directive on System Management of Technical Risks and Quality, and to ensure Voith maintains the highest quality Forming Fabrics in the market so that Voith's Quality System continues to meet the requirements of ISO.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety/quality principles and guidelines.
Perform operations according to written work instructions.
Provide Quality data to organization.
Must understand the manufacturing parameters critical to quality.
Collect and analyze data to ensure problem identification, root cause analysis, proper continuous improvement projects, and process / product verifications.
Exercise authority in determining whether the manufacturing process will be halted when it appears to not be functioning properly.
Approve all incoming raw material (monofilament) through review of vendor certificates of conformance (COCs).
Coordinate PMP and calibration systems at regular intervals and ensure that the Quality Assurance Lab environment, including all testing equipment, is properly maintained.
Work closely with Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Technical, R&D, and Sales Groups as well as a member of various functional groups as required (SOP, COQ, etc.)
Properly maintain all files and records kept by Quality Assurance.
Generate fabric specification sheets and various other reports as required.
Assist with document control as required, including routine checks of blank form distribution points, distribution of work instructions and specifications, etc.
React quickly to supplier issues and customer complaints, and follow up with corrective actions where applicable.
Assist in performing routine tests on returned fabrics and competitor samples.
Assist, support, and facilitate Process Improvement Teams where required.
Establish and maintain systems to monitor Voith's products and process capabilities to satisfy our customers' needs and expectations.
Determine if test results are within specification and monitor each product history for trends.

Bring all out-of-specification results to the attention of Operations, such as Manufacturing, Plant Manager, Technical, R&D, and the Quality Assurance Manager.
Represent Voith at the intercompany level with regards to Quality Systems and their functions.
Implement the necessary systems to comply with Voith's Directive on System Management of Technical Risks and Quality.
Continually update Voith's Quality System via annual assessment (internal audits) of it in its entirety.
Ensure continuous adherence to Voith's Total Quality Commitment throughout all levels of the company.
Exercise authority in ensuring the continuous development and registration of Voith's ISO Quality System.
