Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic, psychosocial, and crisis assessments, including suicide risk evaluations, and develop trauma-informed treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions for individuals and families across outpatient, inpatient, school-based, and community settings.
- Deliver crisis and emergency behavioral health services, including stabilization and short-term counseling.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families while advocating for appropriate services and resources.
- Coordinate care and serve as a liaison with community agencies, physicians, courts, and managed care organizations.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with RYC, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Support team functions including supervision, training, on-call coverage, and participation in clinical meetings and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling required
Experience:
- 2+ years in mental health, substance use, or crisis services preferred (or equivalent experience)
Licensure/Certifications:
- Illinois: LSW or LPC required
- Iowa: LMSW or tLMHC required
- CPR, First Aid, CPI within 6 months of hire (CPI annually)
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong crisis assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergency situations
- Proficient with EMR systems (EPIC, Visionworks)
