Description
New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. In addition, New Horizons assists 22,000 students in area schools, and we work closely with the courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to help improve the health of individuals and the quality of life in our community.
New Horizons is seeking a Quality Improvement (QI) Assistant who will support quality assurance, compliance, operational improvement, and administrative functions across the organization. They will assists with tracking, monitoring, documentation review, follow-up activities, committee coordination, audits, safety-related processes, and general departmental support. This role also assists with operational follow-up related to workers compensation, safety concerns, and compliance activities.
As a Quality Improvement (QI) Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Review reports, documentation, and tracking tools for completeness, timeliness, and accuracy
Maintain logs, spreadsheets, trackers, and other QA/compliance documentation systems
Assist with incident, grievance, audit, and follow-up tracking activities
Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, and action item follow-up
Support chart audits, monitoring activities, and accreditation/regulatory preparation
Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify documentation, signage, environmental, or compliance-related concerns
Assist with data collection, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
Support functions related to safety, workers compensation, and operational follow-up
Provide general administrative and operational support to the QA department as needed
Collaborate with multiple departments to support organizational compliance and quality initiatives
