A-Line Staffing is now hiring a QA Nurse / Infection Preventionist (RN or LPN)


  • Location: Flexible scheduling options available: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Occasional weekends may be required. 50-60% of travel required
  • Pay Rate: $55.00-60.00 an hour
  • Benefits : available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with state, federal, CMS, OBRA, and VA regulations
  • Conduct audits, observations, interviews, and compliance reviews across departments
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and areas for performance improvement
  • Review monthly CASPER reports and develop QAPI Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as needed
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and compliance updates for leadership and facility staff
  • Assist supervisors and managers with corrective action plans and deficiency follow-up
  • Coordinate facility preparation for regulatory surveys and inspections
  • Investigate incidents involving non-compliance, abuse, neglect, or resident mistreatment with facility leadership
  • Chair and coordinate Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committee meetings
  • Conduct daily infection control surveillance rounds and track infections using McGeer and non-McGeer criteria
  • Ensure staff compliance with infection prevention protocols and resident care plans
  • Develop and implement staff education, compliance training, and re-education programs
  • Evaluate staff competencies and maintain training documentation and records
  • Stay current on CMS, CDC, and infection prevention guidance and best practices
  • Collaborate with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) OR Licensed Practical Nurse in AZ
  • Infection Prevention Certification Required
  • Experienced in healthcare quality assurance and/or infection prevention
  • Knowledge of QAPI processes, CASPER reporting, CMS regulations, OBRA guidelines, and infection control standards
  • Deliver nursing care to patients
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients
  • Ensure the nurse to nurse reports
  • Perform professional nursing care of patients
  • Provide direct professional nursing care to patients
  • Implement the nursing care plan and provide skilled nursing care
  • Provide skilled nursing care to assigned patients

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit
