Summary
Hands-on leader to manage SQF programs, develop policies/procedures, and build + validate HACCP/Food Safety Plans. Must be able to run programs independently and support upcoming regulatory updates.
Top 3 Must-Haves
- Experience creating & validating HACCP/Food Safety Plans (not just verification)
- Strong background developing policies, SOPs, and food safety programs
- 3–5+ years in food manufacturing QA/food safety + SQF/GFSI environment
Responsibilities
- Own SQF system; act as SQF Practitioner
- Lead audits (SQF, regulatory, customer)
- Conduct GMP inspections; oversee sanitation & allergen controls
- Develop and implement SOPs and food safety programs
- Lead regulatory updates and compliance reviews
- Investigate deviations, complaints, and CAPAs
- Partner with Production, R&D, and Procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Food Science or related (or equivalent experience)
- SQF certification (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, GFSI/SQF
- Bilingal English/Spanish
