As a QA Manager at EVCO Plastics, you can expect a structured yet dynamic work environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting regular inspections, and overseeing quality control processes. You will collaborate closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your schedule will generally be Monday through Friday, with the expectation of flexibility to work some weekends as needed to address urgent quality issues or participate in audits.
Daily tasks will involve analyzing quality metrics, documenting deviations, and facilitating training sessions to enhance team understanding of quality protocols. You will also lead root cause analysis discussions, ensuring that the principles of continuous improvement are embraced throughout the organization. To excel as a QA Manager at EVCO Plastics, candidates should possess a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in injection molding and management is essential to navigate the complexities of the manufacturing process and to effectively lead diverse teams. Strong customer relations experience is also critical, enabling you to address client needs and ensure their expectations are consistently met.
Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to read blueprints will be required to ensure that all products are manufactured to exact specifications. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is necessary for reporting and documentation purposes. Additionally, a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Quality Engineering or equivalent experience will provide the foundational knowledge needed to implement quality assurance best practices.
