Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead – POS (Point of Sale) to lead end-to-end testing efforts for retail POS applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in POS testing, integration testing, test automation, and managing retail lab environments with POS hardware and peripherals. This role requires excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities across the application lifecycle for Point of Sale (POS) applications.
• Manage the QA lab environment, including setup and maintenance of POS devices and peripherals such as cash drawers, payment terminals (PEDs), barcode scanners, and label printers.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Perform integration testing to ensure seamless communication between POS and dependent systems.
• Test Order Routing dashboard applications for functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Validate integration between Label Printers and Order Routing systems.
• Conduct Order Status Board integration testing to ensure accurate order tracking and updates.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated regression test scripts using Playwright or Cypress.
• Perform comprehensive integration testing between POS and other enterprise applications and services.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to identify, track, and resolve defects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide regular QA status updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with experience leading QA teams.
• Strong experience testing Point of Sale (POS) applications in a retail environment.
• Hands-on experience managing QA labs and configuring POS hardware and peripherals.
• Experience with integration, functional, regression, and system testing.
• Strong automation testing experience using Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience validating integrations across multiple applications and services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail or e-commerce domain experience.
• Experience testing Order Routing, Order Status Board, or related retail applications.
• Knowledge of payment processing and retail store operations.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
