Responsibilities: - Perform visual and mechanical inspection of printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) and electronic components.
- Verify workmanship to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Inspect conformal coating applications for coverage, thickness, and defects.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and quality issues.
- Utilize inspection tools including calipers, gauges, and optical inspection equipment (microscopes, magnifiers, etc.).
- Interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform process quality audits.
Skills/Experience/Training Requirements: - Current IPC-A-610 Certification (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
- Current J-STD-001 Certification (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronics Assemblies)
- If not currently certified, will be responsible for completing training to become certified.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools (calipers, gauges, microscopes, optical scopes, etc.) for extended periods of time.
- Soldering experience a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
