Piper Companies is hiring a QA Engineer for a leading healthcare workforce education and training technology company, located in Morrisville, NC. The QA Engineer will support a development team focused on delivering high-quality software products through robust test automation. The QA Engineer will work alongside one other QA team member who is currently focused on manual testing, making automation expertise critical to the team''s success.
This is a hybrid position and requires 2 days onsite per week in Morrisville, NC.
Responsibilities of the QA Engineer:
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
Design, build, and enhance scalable test automation frameworks.
Partner closely with developers and product teams to define testing requirements and quality standards.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web applications.
Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects through resolution.
Participate in sprint planning, requirements reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.
Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
Requirements of the QA Engineer:
3+ years of QA Engineering experience with a strong focus on automation testing
Ability to create automated test scripts using Cypress
Strong JavaScript scripting skills for test automation development
Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and source control tools such as Git
Ability to work in a collaborative Agile development environment
Open to contract opportunity
Ability to work onsite in Morrisville, NC 2 days per week (potential flexibility to 1 day for candidates in Greensboro)
Compensation for the QA Engineer:
$45 - $60/hour (depending on experience)
