The Team:
The MSP (Mechatronic Software Platform) organization is responsible for building and operating the common mechatronic software platform that underpins GM's SDV strategy. MSP provides reusable infrastructure, integration patterns, and tooling for mechatronic ECUs so feature and application teams can deliver value quickly and safely across programs.
The Role:
We are seeking a QA Engineer to validate low-level Hardware Input/Output (HWIO) software for embedded automotive controllers. This role focuses on verifying HWIO functionality at the interface between software and hardware, including I/O, communications, and ASIC-driver-related behavior, and supporting the HWIO software verification and regression phase of the development lifecycle.
The engineer will work closely with HWIO developers and cross-functional teams to ensure released software is robust, traceable to requirements, and ready for downstream integration. The role requires strong hands-on testing skills, comfort working with benches, and the ability to identify, reproduce, analyze, and clearly communicate issues found during regression and feature validation.
